Site Engineer
Job Purpose
The Site Engineer is fully responsible for project and site coordination, as assigned by the Project Manager. The projects will take place across the Client’s facilities. The Site Engineer is accountable for the performance of sub-contracted services. This performance will be evaluated against the established program and budget to ensure it meets the expectations of the Client, the Facility Manager, and their customers across the various sites.
Key Responsibilities
The Site Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects adhere to established quality standards and meet the approved baseline. The responsibilities would be,
Supports the Project Manager as the Company representative with the selected subcontractors during the project execution.
Follows up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
Monitors contractor performance on site pertaining to schedule and conformance to plans and specifications.
Supports the Project Manager in overseeing the Project Daily Report. Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
Monitoring and evaluating project performance in line with time and budgetary constraints.
Communicating project performance results with the project management team.
Managing changes in project processes to resolve identified shortcomings in operational methods.
Plan and coordinate the resources for each job, including inputs from other offices, sub-consultants and other suppliers, and manage all jobs to deliver them on time and within the budget.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate to support the Project Manager.
Work collaboratively with the wider Facility Manager Team members and champion best practices.
Any other duties that may be assigned by the Projects & Minor Works Manager or reporting Director.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelors Degree Level – Project Management, Facilities Management, Civil Engineering.
Experience: >3 years’ experience in construction roles for important projects in the UAE as part of the Main Contractor team. Preferably in an Airport environment.
