Job Purpose

The Support Officer – Mechatronics Engineering is an entry-level role aimed at developing UAE Nationals by providing hands-on experience in integrated mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. The role supports daily maintenance activities, assists in troubleshooting electromechanical systems, and ensures the safe and reliable operation of automated and mechanical infrastructure while building foundational technical and professional skills for long-term growth within the Engineering department.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for mechatronic systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated components.

• Assist in inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of automated equipment, control panels, motors, sensors, actuators, conveyors, and robotics systems.

• Support troubleshooting of electromechanical faults and coordinate corrective actions under the supervision of senior engineers.

• Monitor system performance (mechanical and automated systems) and report abnormalities, breakdowns, or safety concerns.

• Assist in installation, commissioning, calibration, and basic programming/configuration of PLC-controlled and automated systems.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, test results, and technical documentation.

• Support compliance with safety standards, automation regulations, and company engineering policies.

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for maintenance, system upgrades, and repair works when required.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to automation efficiency, system optimization, and predictive maintenance.

• Assist in preparing technical reports, work permits, and documentation as assigned by the Direct Manager.

• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: High School Diploma (Diploma/Bachelor’s in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred)

Experience: 0–2 years of experience in mechatronics, automation, maintenance, or technical operations; fresh graduates welcome

Nationality: UAE National only

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of mechatronic systems (mechanical, electrical, and control systems)

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and basic PLC diagrams

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

• High attention to detail and safety awareness

• Basic knowledge of testing tools and diagnostic instruments

• Familiarity with automation systems and control technologies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation
