MEP Manager
Job Summary
The MEP Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and HVAC maintenance services across large-scale infrastructure and operational facilities.
The role ensures the reliability, safety, and performance of critical building and infrastructure systems. This includes overseeing contractors, managing asset lifecycle strategies, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards within a high-availability, 24/7 operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
MEP Operations & Asset Management
Manage day-to-day delivery of MEP and HVAC maintenance services across operational facilities and infrastructure.
Ensure reliability and availability of critical systems including power distribution, HVAC, and building infrastructure.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs aligned with asset lifecycle strategies.
Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruption within live operational environments.
Contractor & Service Provider Management
Oversee performance of MEP contractors and service providers.
Ensure contractors meet contractual obligations, service level agreements, and safety requirements.
Review technical submissions, drawings, and system documentation.
Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement initiatives.
Technical Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
Support testing and commissioning of new or upgraded MEP systems.
Validate design solutions and provide technical recommendations for maintenance strategies.
Ensure adherence to asset management and quality standards.
Asset Performance & Reliability
Monitor performance of mechanical and electrical systems supporting operational infrastructure.
Implement reliability engineering and maintenance optimization strategies.
Support operational teams to ensure infrastructure systems enable uninterrupted operations.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
Experience
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in MEP operations or facilities management.
At least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
Experience working in large-scale, complex, and operationally critical environments (e.g., major infrastructure, mixed-use developments, or high-footfall assets) preferred.
