HSE Data & Assurance Coordinator
Job Summary
The HSE Data & Assurance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, validation, monitoring, and reporting of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) data across contract operations.
The role supports the HSE Lead Specialist by validating safety performance data, monitoring KPIs, conducting internal audits, and ensuring compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Life Safety Rules.
This position focuses on data-driven safety assurance, providing operational insights through Power BI dashboards, MS365 systems, and structured reporting to support effective governance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Data Integrity & Validation
Validate accuracy and completeness of all HSE data generated across contract operations
Verify incident classification in accordance with corporate definitions and Safe Working Day criteria
Review and validate incident investigation reports, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Monitor corrective and preventive action tracking to ensure timely closure
Review contractor safety reports and ensure data accuracy and reporting consistency
Identify and escalate data discrepancies, anomalies, or potential under-reporting
2. Safe Working Day Monitoring
Monitor Safe Working Day performance metrics and reset triggers
Validate evidence supporting KPI resets
Track patterns of critical control failures and safety barrier degradation
Analyze trends related to:
Injuries
Property damage
Environmental incidents
Life Safety Rule violations
Provide early warning insights to the HSE Lead Specialist
3. Audit & Investigation Assurance
Plan and conduct internal HSE audits aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Act as Lead Auditor for Integrated Management System (IMS) audits
Maintain audit registers with severity grading and closure tracking
Validate audit findings, evidence records, and non-conformity classification
Analyze audit and investigation data to identify systemic safety risks
Support continuous improvement within the IMS framework
4. Safety Assurance & Monitoring
Conduct structured safety assurance reviews across operations
Verify implementation of Life Safety Rules and critical control measures
Review:
Permit to Work (PTW)
MSRA documentation
Inspection records
Monitor the effectiveness and closure quality of corrective actions
Support contractor governance and performance reviews
5. HSE Reporting & Performance Intelligence
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for contract-level HSE performance
Produce monthly and ad hoc safety performance reports
Integrate data from Excel, SharePoint, and MS365 platforms
Generate:
Risk heat maps
Safety trend analysis
Leading indicator reports
Ensure reports reflect operational risk and control effectiveness
6. Digital Systems & MS365 Governance
Maintain SharePoint HSE document architecture
Develop advanced Excel-based tracking and validation tools
Support development of Power Apps workflows
Improve automation, data validation, and reporting efficiency
Ensure secure and auditable storage of HSE records
7. Contractor Reporting Oversight
Validate contractor HSE performance data and statistics
Monitor contractor safety reporting accuracy and compliance
Identify inconsistencies in contractor submissions
Provide performance insights to support contract governance
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or Certification in:
Data Analytics
Business Intelligence
Information Systems
ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification
ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification
Certification or training in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, SharePoint)
Training in Power BI and Advanced Microsoft Excel
Preferred Certifications
NEBOSH International General Certificate
Incident Investigation training (ICAM or equivalent)
Work Experience
4–6 years of professional experience
Experience in data analytics, safety performance monitoring, or assurance roles
Proven experience with:
Data validation
HSE reporting
Dashboard development
Performance analysis
Experience using Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 systems
Experience conducting internal audits and corrective action monitoring
Experience in HSE, operational risk, or contractor-driven environments preferred
