Job Summary
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for managing warehouse operations, inventory control, material handling, storage, distribution, and logistics activities to support operational, manufacturing, maintenance, and programme requirements. The role serves as the primary interface between Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics stakeholders, ensuring the efficient flow of materials, components, equipment, and products across the organization.
The role is accountable for inventory accuracy, warehouse operations, logistics coordination, transportation activities, material traceability, stock availability, and supplier delivery support. The position oversees the receipt, storage, movement, preservation, and dispatch of critical, high-value, and operationally important materials while maintaining compliance with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
The Manager maintains visibility of inventory levels, material availability, inbound and outbound logistics activities, warehouse capacity, and supply priorities, enabling informed decision-making and effective operational support. Effective warehouse and logistics management supports operational readiness, supply continuity, inventory accuracy, cost optimization, and the achievement of organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Organizational Management
Support the development and manage the implementation of departmental plans, programmes, initiatives, and priorities to support achievement of organizational objectives.
Manage cross-functional planning, resource prioritization, and performance-management activities to support delivery of departmental objectives.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, internal customers, and external customers, and facilitate collaboration to support service excellence and achievement of departmental objectives.
Manage approved departmental budgets, resource plans, performance targets, KPIs, and Success Measures to optimize resource utilization and achievement of departmental objectives.

Policy & Systems Management
Provide functional input into the development and continuous improvement of policies, governance requirements, procedures, controls, and operating requirements, and manage their implementation across the department.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, governance frameworks, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments, sustainability requirements, applicable International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards, and relevant regulatory, statutory, contractual, and organizational requirements.
Manage internal and external audits, compliance activities, internal controls, corrective actions, and assurance requirements to strengthen governance, accountability, and operational effectiveness.
Enable effective adoption of technology solutions, information systems, cybersecurity requirements, digital initiatives, automation opportunities, and data-driven practices to support departmental objectives.
Monitor departmental performance, risks, reporting requirements, and continuous-improvement opportunities, implementing corrective actions and best practices to enhance business outcomes.

Translate departmental objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Success Measures into team objectives, performance measures, and accountability requirements, and ensure clear ownership of responsibilities, deliverables, performance expectations, and compliance obligations.
Manage talent-management, succession-planning, leadership-development, and capability-building initiatives to strengthen organizational capability, workforce sustainability, and leadership continuity.
Manage performance-management activities across the department by providing regular feedback, coaching, mentoring, guidance, performance reviews, and development support to enhance employee capability, engagement, and performance outcomes, and address underperformance through appropriate performance-improvement actions and corrective measures.
Foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, accountability, inclusion, employee well-being, integrity, recognition, and continuous improvement across the department to strengthen employee commitment and performance.
Operations Management
Warehouse Operations & Material Management
Manage the receipt, inspection, storage, handling, issuance, transfer, and dispatch of materials, equipment, tooling, and products, maintaining efficient warehouse operations and material availability.
Ensure materials are stored, preserved, identified, and controlled in accordance with approved requirements, protecting inventory integrity and product quality.
Ensure materials requiring special handling, shelf-life control, environmental conditions, preservation requirements, or traceability controls are managed in accordance with approved procedures, protecting material integrity and usability.
Monitor warehouse utilization, storage capacity, material flow, and housekeeping activities, optimizing warehouse efficiency and space utilization.
Coordinate material movements between warehouse locations, operational areas, and end users, supporting uninterrupted operational and manufacturing activities.
Manage material identification, traceability, segregation, and stock control activities, strengthening inventory accountability and accuracy.
Production Support & Material Planning
Coordinate closely with Production, MRP Planner and Procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials required for prototype builds, testing activities and production orders.
Monitor material shortages, lead times and production demand signals and proactively escalate risks to manufacturing schedules.
Support execution of MRP recommendations and inventory planning parameters to maintain optimal stock levels.
Inventory Management & Stock Control
Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and replenishment requirements, maintaining optimum inventory availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
Conduct cycle counts, stock audits, reconciliations, and inventory verification activities, improving inventory accuracy and control effectiveness.
Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), maintaining inventory visibility and data integrity.
Investigate inventory discrepancies, stock variances, and transaction errors, minimizing inventory losses and operational impacts.
Support critical spare parts management and replenishment activities, ensuring availability of materials required for operational continuity.
Monitor inventory ageing, excess stock, dormant inventory, and obsolescence risks, supporting inventory optimization and cost control objectives.
Material Traceability & Configuration Control
Maintain full material traceability from receipt through issuance and production consumption.
Support BOM accuracy by ensuring inventory records, part numbers, serial numbers, lot numbers and revision-controlled material data remain aligned with approved engineering records.
Support Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and product configuration requirements affecting inventory and warehouse operations.
Logistics & Distribution Management
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, ensuring timely receipt and delivery of materials, equipment, and products.
Manage transportation, freight forwarding, shipping, customs clearance, and distribution activities, facilitating efficient movement of goods across the supply chain.
Manage import/export logistics activities, customs documentation, duty requirements, free-zone processes and international freight coordination.
Monitor logistics service provider performance against agreed service requirements, improving delivery reliability and logistics effectiveness.
Coordinate urgent, priority, and critical shipments, reducing risks to operational, production, and programme schedules.
Ensure shipping documentation, transport records, and logistics transactions are completed accurately, supporting compliance and material traceability.
Stakeholder & Service Provider Management
Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Programme teams to align warehouse and logistics activities with business requirements.
Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, freight forwarders, contractors, and service providers, facilitating timely material delivery and issue resolution.
Monitor supplier delivery performance and material receipt activities, improving supply visibility and service performance.
Support the resolution of material shortages, transportation challenges, and logistics constraints, minimizing disruptions to business operations.
Maintain effective communication regarding inventory status, shipment progress, material availability, and logistics priorities, supporting informed decision-making.
Warehouse Safety, Compliance & Quality
Monitor adherence to material handling, storage, preservation, hazardous material, and inventory control requirements, protecting personnel, assets, and materials.
Ensure warehouse, inventory, logistics, and shipment records are maintained accurately, supporting traceability and audit readiness.
Promote safe working practices and compliance with HSE requirements across warehouse and logistics activities, reinforcing a culture of safety and accountability.
Monitor the safe operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment, tools, and material handling assets, supporting safe and efficient warehouse operations.
Risk Management & Compliance
Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate inventory, logistics, transportation, operational, and supply chain risks, strengthening supply continuity and operational resilience.
Develop contingency plans for critical materials, transportation requirements, inventory shortages, and logistics disruptions, improving business continuity and supply assurance.
Maintain visibility of critical inventory positions, material shortages, delayed shipments, and logistics constraints, enabling proactive risk management and timely intervention.
Ensure warehouse and logistics activities comply with applicable quality, safety, security, regulatory, governance, and contractual requirements, maintaining compliance and protecting organizational interests.
Monitor warehouse, inventory, and logistics performance trends and benchmark results against operational targets, providing insights that support informed decision-making and value realization.
Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, contractual obligations, quality requirements, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards, security protocols, export control requirements, applicable International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments, and regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance, protecting organizational interests, and strengthening supply chain integrity.
Reporting
Develop, monitor and report warehouse, inventory, logistics, material availability and service level KPIs, providing actionable insights and recommendations to management.

Qualification & Experience
Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Professional certification in Warehousing, Logistics, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management from a recognized professional body.
Experience
6 years of progressive experience in Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Inventory Management, Material Management, or Supply Chain Operations within manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, aircraft manufacturing, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul), industrial, or other complex operational environments in public- or private-sector organizations.
Experience managing warehousing, inventory control, material handling, receiving, storage, dispatch, logistics coordination, and stock replenishment activities, supporting material availability, inventory accuracy, and operational continuity.
Strong experience in ERP systems, WMS, inventory controls, material traceability, logistics processes, and stakeholder coordination, ensuring effective material flow, inventory integrity, and service delivery performance.
Experience managing aviation materials, aircraft components, serialized inventory, lot-controlled materials, and production-related components.
Minimum 3 years of people-management experience, including leadership of multidisciplinary teams, performance management, coaching, workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and capability building.
